Jay Benaim joined Kraft Berger in 2012 and became a partner in 2017, after starting his career with a Big Four firm in 2005.  Jay’s clients value his comprehensive approach in understanding and addressing their individual short-term and long-term objectives. Professionals and entrepreneurs rely on Jay as their trusted advisor in business and family decisions.  In addition to providing accounting and advisory services for professionals and entrepreneurs, Jay leads audits and reviews for private companies across various industries, and provides accounting consulting services for companies that prepare financial statements under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Jay is also an active member of the firm’s Standards Committee.

His areas of practice include:

• Advisory for professional corporations, including Medicine Professional Corporations
• Advisory for owner-managed businesses
• Audit and review engagements for private companies
• Preparation of financial statements under IFRS, including conversion of financial statements from Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) to IFRS

Jay graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2007 and earned his CA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in 2010. Jay lectures at numerous professional development courses, and serves in various volunteer roles within the community.
